T-BİGG program conducted under the umbrella of ODTÜ TEKNOKENT helps candidate entrepreneur’s, who have technology and innovation oriented business ideas, to establish their own companies by 150.000 TL government support.

ODTÜ TEKNOKENT is first stage implementation institution of TÜBİTAK 1512 Capital Support Program. In the T-BİGG program necessary education and training is conducted in preliminary incubation stage, mentorship and consultancy is provided by experienced mentors of ODTÜ TEKNOKENT and candidate entrepreneurs have opportunity to meet the investors and get their opinions at the idea stage. Candidate entrepreneurs who have successfully completed T-BİGG program are then directed to the second stage, which includes an assessment done by TUBİTAK.

Privileged Trainer and Mentor Pool

All teams accepted to T-BİGG program gain a chance to participate in pre-incubation program of ODTÜ TEKNOKENT. In pre-incubation program teams benefit from rich ODTÜ TEKNOKENT mentor pool and exchange information with mentors on technical, commercial and administrative issues and reinforce their developments. The teams which successfully complete their trainings on business idea validation within the scope of T-BİGG, prepare their business plans and get entitled to submit it to TÜBİTAK.

Opportunity to Accomplish International Success

After positive assessment of TÜBİTAK, teams can establish their companies in ODTÜ TEKNOKENT Incubation Center. If they are eligible they can get participate in to programs in T-Jump acceleration center of ODTÜ TEKNOKENT which is located in San Francisco, USA. Furthermore, being in ODTÜ TEKNOKENT will make you a part of a huge network, which also gives you an opportunity to meet national and international investors, in particular T-Jump Ventures which is the investment body of ODTU TEKNOKENT.

WHO IS ASSOC. PROF. ASLI BUGAY?

She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Ankara University and PhD degree in Middle East Technical University in Guidance and Psychological Counseling.

She started her career as a psychological counselor in Private Arı Schools. Then, she worked as a research assistant at Middle East Technical University and assistant professor at TED University and Akdeniz University. She worked as a visiting researcher at the Florida State University, Institute of Family and worked as a researcher in the "healthy romantic relationships" project. Currently, she has been working as the department coordinator in the Guidance and Psychological Consultancy Program at Northern Cyprus Campus, Middle East Technical University.

STRESS-FREE EXAMS SHOULD BE INVENTED

Universal emotions such as frustration, anxiety and fear, and the physiological changes in our bodies when we feel these emotions are more or less the same in all of us. However, reactions to intense emotions can vary greatly from one another.

For example, it is normal and common for students to get stressed out and to be anxious about a test for which about 2 million students are studying to take. In the face of such emotions like anxiety and stress, the question “why are some students able to regulate themselves and their emotions and calm themselves down better?” gives a clue about the result of the exam to a great extent.

In this context, we will seek answers to the question “How can I cope with the negative feelings before an exam?” and talk about self-soothing strategies in the METU Science Cafe event.

Dear ODTÜ Members,

The 61^st Anniversary of the founding of our University will be celebrated at the ODTÜ DAY ceremony to be held on Friday, 26 May 2017.

During the first part of the ODTÜ DAY ceremony, which will start at 10:30, the ODTÜ Outstanding Achievement and ODTÜ Appreciation Awards determined with the decision of our University’s Senate will be presented. It is required that our academic personnel attend this part of the ceremony in their academic gowns.

During the second part of the ceremony, which will start at 14:30, along with the Turan Baskan Awards, plaques of service will be presented to our academic and administrative personnel who have retired after serving our university for 20 years or more, and certificates of service will be presented to our members who have completed their 20^th, 25^th, 30^th, 35^th and 40^th year of service.

All our academic and administrative members of staff, their families, our students and alumni are invited to the ODTÜ DAY ceremony.
