ANKARA VALİLİĞİ’NDEN BASIN AÇIKLAMASI

Bilkent Entegre Sağlık Kampüsünün bulunduğu bölgede (Şehir Hastanesi) trafiği rahatlatacak projenin uygulanması ile ilgili olarak Ankara Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanlığı ve Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi Rektörlüğü arasında anlaşma sağlandı. İmzalanan protokole göre;

1. ODTÜ Teknokent Kavşağı ile 1071 Malazgirt Bulvarı arasında bağlantıyı sağlayacak tünelin kampüs alanının üst yüzey bölgesine zarar verilmeksizin yeraltından yapılmasına karar verildi. Tünelin giriş ve çıkışındaki kavşak bağlantı alanlarında gerektiğinde aç-kapa imalatları yapılması ve tahribatın minimum seviyede tutulması öngörülmüştür.

Tünel projesi Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesinin gözetim ve mutabakatı çerçevesinde yürütülecektir.

2. Aysel Sabuncu Yaşam Merkezinin bulunduğu bölgeden başlayan ve ODTÜ arazisinin sınırına en yakın bölgelerinden geçerek İncek Bulvarına ve daha sonrasında Ankara Çevre Otoyoluna bağlanacak olan bulvarın Jandarma Komutanlığı Hava Radar arazisi bölgesine kadar olan ve ODTÜ alanında kalan yaklaşık 4,8 km'lik kısmının yapımına karar verildi.

3. Proje kapsamında nakledilecek veya kaldırılacak ağaç ve çalı gruplarının 2 katından az olmamak üzere ağaç ve çalı grubu, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesinin göstereceği alanlara dikilecek ve yol güzergahının her iki tarafında kalan kısımlar Ankara Büyükşehir Belediyesi tarafından ağaçlandırılacaktır.

4. Proje kapsamında yol olarak kullanılan 36 hektarlık alan karşılığı olarak Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi alanına bitişik veya en yakın bölgeden 36 hektardan az olmamak üzere alan, Ankara Valiliği’nin koordinasyonunda Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesine tahsis edilecektir.

Middle East Technical University will accept applications as part of the Middle East Technical University 100/2000 YÖK PhD Scholarships. a. To be a citizen of the Republic of Turkey. 
b. To have graduate degree for the PhD program. To have an undergraduate degree for an integrated PhD program.
c. To meet the application and admission requirements determined by the METU Rules and Regulations Governing Graduate Studies and the department to be applied. 
d. Not currently working in any workplace (Public, Private and other). 
e. If the PhD education still continues at a state higher education institution, not to be in the dissertation stage phase (not giving a thesis proposal after Proficiency Exam).

Total Number of Accepted Projects: 413

Number of Accepted Projects of METU: 32 Projects

METU has been announced to have the highest number of projects funded by TÜBİTAK.

The results of 2017’s 1^st TÜBİTAK Call for the 1001, 3501 and 1005 Programs were announced by the Research Support Programs Directorate, TÜBİTAK (ARDEB) on July 20, 2017.  

METU has been announced to have the highest number of accepted projects with 32 out of 413 projects accepted in the National Support Programs. According to the evaluation results of the Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program (1001), Career Development Program (3501) and National New Ideas and Products R&D Funding Program (1005), 32 projects in total from METU were funded in the first call of 2017.
