In the 18th session of our “Learn & Connect: 5.40 Lecture Series,” which will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026, we will be organizing a campus panel titled “Interdisciplinary Bridges for Solutions on the COP Agenda.”
The panel will be opened and moderated by Prof. Dr. Barış Salihoğlu, Advisor to the Rector and Director of the Institute of Marine Sciences and the Climate Center (İKLİM). Together with our distinguished panelists, Prof. Dr. Semra Cerit Mazlum (Marmara University, Department of Political Science and International Relations), Prof. Dr. Ebru Voyvoda (METU, Department of Economics), Prof. Dr. İpek Gürsel Dino (METU, Department of Architecture), Asst. Prof. Dr. Gülizar Özyurt Tarakcıoğlu (METU, Department of Civil Engineering), Prof. Dr. Gaye Teksöz (METU, Department of Mathematics and Science Education), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar Derin Güre (METU, Department of Economics), we will discuss the COP agenda through various perspectives, including education, research, energy, the built environment, and zero-carbon financing.
Following the panel, the “Connect” portion of our event will be held in the large foyer area.
