The Final Day of YFYI, on 9 November 2013, took place with the participation of university students, professionals, government representatives, businessmen and investors.
Yeni Fikirler Yeni İşler, supporting young entrepreneurs to implement their projects, finalized 2013 term with a grand final ceremony. After the organization which took place in METU Cultural and Convention Center, prizes found their owners.
There has been 1071 application for the 2013 term of YFYİ and the juries made very rigorous screening. As a result of this screening, 11 of them won the right to make presentations in the finals, and those presentations attracted the great interest of the participants.
After the entrepreneurs made their presentations, juries decided the winners of the prizes:
Grand Prizes size of 100 Thousand TL; Prz Biyoteknoloji team took Elginkan Vakfı Grand Prize, Biyomekanik team took Turkcell Grand Prize and Lazersan Elektronik team took Savunma Sanayii Müsteşarlığı Grand Prize.
Special Prizes size of 25 Thousand TL; Orion team took OSTİM Special Prize, Easy Guitar team took DenizBank Special Prize, Fonksiyonel Yüzeyler team took Aselsan Special Prize and Deeblab team took Çalık YEDAŞ Special Prize.
Second Prize size of 10 Thousan TL; Orion team took Savunma Sanayii Müsteşarlığı Second Prize and Lazersan Elektronik team took Turkcell Second Prize. In addition to this, Z5 Team impressed OSTİM and awarded by OSTİM with an additional OSTİM Jury’s Special Prize.
The support of ODTÜ Teknokent for the winners was not limited by seed capital. The grand prize winners will also be settled in office for free at ODTÜ Teknokent for 2 years, and they could benefit from continuous mentoring service.
Yeni Fikirler Yeni İşler Contest organized by Middle East Technical University, ODTÜ Teknokent and its powerful stakeholders, realized business ideas of entrepreneurs this year.
Applications for 2014 term of Yeni Fikirler Yeni İşler will begin on 18 November 2013 and YFYİ will allow new entrepreneurs to realize their new ideas…
