Dear members, students and alumni,
The First step of the "One Tree from You, One Forest from Us", the planting campaign started by our university in collaboration with the ODTÜ Development Foundation, will take place on Sunday, 20th April 2014, between 10.45-13.30 at Ahlatlıbel (İncek Boulevard, South of TED College).
The nature lovers and alumni who have contributed to the campaign; official organizations, foreign missions, non-governmental organizations and media institutions in Ankara are invited to the festival where 12.000 trees will be planted. The aim of the festival is expanding the forest area in the ODTÜ terrain and leaving a livable environment for the generations to come, and it will demonstrate that ODTÜ Family and residents of Ankara claim the nature and environment together.
During the festival,there will be performances of student and staff societies. “Sandwiches and ayran” will be served as a tradition of the tree planting festival.
In order to arrive at the festival area, there’ll be buses taking off at 10.00 am from ODTÜKENT, Rectorate Building and Dormitory areas inside the campus; from Tunus, Sıhhiye, Çankaya (Hoşdere) stops outside the campus. After the festival, there’ll be bus services again to the same areas starting at 13.30 am. In case you come to the festival by yourself, signs and our employees will guide you to the festival area.
All of our students, staff and members are invited to the “ April 20th Tree-Planting Festival”.

Aiming to ease the traffic problem during weekends at the ODTÜ Eymir Lake, protect its nature and to ensure that our guests enjoy the surroundings unaffected by the heavy vehicle traffic, the application of "Car-Free Eymir" period will begin again on April 5th, 2014.
Entry of private cars in to the ODTÜ Eymir Lake area will be restricted on weekend days and official holidays between April 5th and October 29th, 2014, and restriction will apply between 11:00 and 19:00. Cars will be parked in the parking areas and transportation around the Lake will be provided by busses. Busses will start from the Lake's Gölbaşı and TRT parking lots, and run continuously between 11:00 and 19:30 to transport our students, personnel, and guests to the stops all around the Lake.
We thank you for your support for protecting the nature of Lake Eymir and providing the oppourtunity to all quests to ease the traffic problem.
