Middle East Technical University has ranked first once again among the research universities in Turkey according to the recently announced result of the Research Universities Performance Monitoring Index, conducted by the Council of Higher Education to evaluate the performance of research universities within the year 2022.
As in the previous rankings announced since the year 2017, METU maintains its top position this year as well, securing the first place for the fifth consecutive year with a score of 82,27. In the index, a total of 23 research universities, 20 of which are state universities in addition to three foundation universities, were evaluated based on their total scores in the categories of “Research Capacity,” “Research Quality,” and “Interaction and Cooperation.”
This year’s ranking results in which METU took the first place was announced at the Annual Evaluation Meeting of Research Universities held in İzmir on November 21, 2023.
