Graduate Program

METU Mathematics Department accepts students only to its Ph.D. program. Students with a B.S. degree (or those who expect to get one within six months) can apply to the Ph.D. program if they satisfy the conditions below.

Conditions

• Students who do not have an M. Sc. diploma must have a CGPA of minimum 3.00/4.00 or 75/100.
• ALES score of minimum 70 (or the equivalent GRE score).

Criteria

• Candidate's CGPA.
• ALES score or GRE score. (These scores must be less than five years old.)
• The grades obtained from some fundamental math courses, such as Linear Algebra and Advanced Calculus.
• The variety of elective math courses.
• The repeated courses.
• The age of the candidate and the number of years spent for graduation.
• Reference letters.
• Letter of intention.
• Language test score. (At most two years old.)
