September 26: In order to submit your drafts go to http://forum.metu.edu.tr
, register yourself with your real name and last name. Then join the forum
called Freud. After receiving my approval you can send a new message to the
forum. The title of your new message should include the variables of the study.
I will write my reactions under your message. By this way, every member of the
forum can follow what others are doing and what kind of feedback they are
receiving. Good luck!

September 22: Thank you for those who submitted the first
draft of the projects. I will give 2 points to those who submit the first draft
within this day. You may revise your initial drafts till 29th of
September.
I change the evaluation strategy a little bit. Attendance will also
be included in your total grades. The change will appear soon on the evaluation
page.

September 19: Do not forget that you have to choose a
topic to investigate from the subject list! You will report the topic to me on
22nd of September.
In our second meeting I will present some of the historical
approaches to understanding emotion. I assume that you will come to class
having read the related chapters. It might also be a good idea for you to take a
look at transparencies related to historical approaches.
September 15: Welcome to the world of emotions!

OUR FIRST MEETING: September 15th
PARTICIPATION
IN THE FIRST MEETING IS COMPULSORY. I will introduce the course structure in
our first meeting. You will choose a topic to present it in the class and
another one to carry out a research on it.

Nurhak Yorulmaz
presented her recognition-children study in the 2nd Işık Savaşır Clinical Psychology
Symposium. She carried out her study last year as a requirement of the Emotion
course. She is now in our clinical graduate program.

Sedat Yağcıoğlu
presented his hate-suicide study in the 2nd Işık
Savaşır Clinical Psychology Symposium. He carried out
his study last year as a requirement of the Emotion course. He, too, is now in
our clinical graduate program.
