Participation to the Discussions:
You are required to read all the assignments before the class date. During the class discussions a student will take the lead and prepare questions about the readings. The questions will be asked to randomly chosen students. The answer should be dependent on the readings. You are also required to contribute with your own perspective. You will get a total grade out of 20 according to the level of participation in the discussions and the success in answering the questions.
Paper 1:
Your first paper will be based on the theoretical linkages between emotion and psychopathology. The basic question is "Why are emotions important in the understanding of psychopathology?" You are required to discuss on at least three approaches in Clinical Psychology emphasizing that importance. The final section of the paper should be reserved for your own synthesis of different approaches.
Paper 2:
The second paper will be focused on a specific disorder. After reading at least 10 empirical study on the emotional aspects of the specific disorder, you are required to write down a review article. In the last section of your article you must also propose a research project based on the current research.
