Write a short essay (max. 1500 words including titles, tables, references, etc.) that studies the financial performance of a company traded on the ISE stock exchange.
The outline of the essay could be as follows:
1. Introduction [explain what, why, how]
2. Performance indicators [explain the performance indicators you will use in the paper, defines the indicators,
and discuss their advantages/disadvantages in measuring financial performance]
3. The company [provide brief information about the company and the sector in which in operates]
4. Financial performance [analyze the financial performance of the company, compare it with the sector average,
and discuss the determinants of performance]
5. Conclusions
The companies will be selected on first come-first served basis. Send your choices (names of three companies) by e-mail to me (etaymaz@metu.edu.tr) before March 25.
