This page is concerned with one of the concept of educational sciences, which is cognitive development.

This page contains two different approaches about the cognitive development. There are two important trends, which are Piaget’s Theory of Cognitive Development and Vygotsky’s Cultural/Cognitive Theory Development.

Purpose of this page is to introduce these two different approaches. 

This page is also aimed to be helpful for the students, which take EDS 221, Development and Learning’ course given from Faculty of Education at Middle East Technical University.
