EDS 695 RESEARCH SEMINAR IN EDUCATIONAL SCIENCES

Overview
The
purpose of this course is to develop skills in major steps of a dissertation
research. The course will assist
students in design, methods and other matters of concern in the preparation of
an acceptable dissertation proposal, and in carrying out a dissertation
research. The course involves
weekly assignments, presentations, group discussions, and critiques.
Course
Requirements
1.
Regular attendance and participation in discussion based on readings, experience
and reflection. (30%)
2.
A Research Proposal: Based
on the format developed by the department, each student will submit a draft
version of their dissertation proposal (Max. 15 pages).
This proposal will be a practice and basis for the dissertation proposal
to be defended after the qualification exam. (50%)
3.
Weekly assignments: As
assigned by the instructors, students will prepare assignments on one or two
steps of a dissertation research, and present it to the class. (20%)
