The workshop is designed to help authors to write quality manuscripts that will be attractive to SCI indexed journals. The lectures during the workshop cover topics such as how non native-English authors can overcome the language barrier, writing a title that will attract readers, abstract writing, cover letter development, publication ethics and how to handle peer review comments. This workshop is for faculty members, researchers, scientists and research scholars who wish to publish their research by way of journal articles or book manuscripts. While there is no payment for this workshop, pre-registration is required. There will be no on the spot registrations so please register before the workshop. The registration will close 3 days prior to the workshop date.
Workshop Details:
The workshop agenda typically consists of three parts:

Research and Scientific Publishing: Chances and Opportunities for Researchers (30min)
An introductory talk about developments in scientific publishing and how these will enhance the way scientists use scientific content

How to Write for and Get Published in Scientific Journals and Publish Manuscripts (2hrs)
In addition to practical advice for successful publication, this module based on expertise provided by Edanz will instill a sense of professionalism and international standards for scientific communication. 

Author Services: Support When You Publish With Springer (30min)
How does Springer assist its authors in their publication endeavors? Tools that help before, during and after publication take center stage in this talk. Springer also highlights in the workshop, the benefits to authors when they publish their book manuscripts with Springer, as we offer a variety of publication types, all in multiple online and print formats.

 According to a new agreement between the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and TWAS, the academy of sciences for the developing world, up to 140 students/scholars per year from the developing world will be sponsored to travel to China for up to four years’ of PhD study and research. The CAS-TWAS President’s Fellowship Programme provides students/scholars from developing countries with the opportunity to pursue PhDs at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and/or institutes of CAS around China. Under the terms of the new CAS-TWAS agreement, TWAS will be responsible for providing round-trip travel support for 50 awardees each year to and from China, or for providing one way travel support for 80 awardees each year to China. TWAS will make active efforts to secure additional funds to cover more awardees for travel supports. In addition, TWAS will also cover visa related expenses and a contribution to excess luggage fees for stays in China of more than 12 months. CAS will be responsible for a monthly payment to cover accommodation and living expenses. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend (including living expenses, local travel expenses and health insurance) of RMB 7,000 (approx. USD 1,100) or RMB 8,000 (approx. 1,250) from CAS, depending on whether he/she has passed a qualification test after admission.

Meanwhile, there are 83 Chinese-medium bachelor’s programmes, 279 master’s programmes and 185 doctoral programmes on offer.
A series of scholarship programmes are available at Xiamen University for international students, especially those from our sister universities who wish to pursue further degree studies in China. In addition to XMU Scholarships for International Students, they can apply for Chinese Govt. Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship and Fujian Provincial Govt. Scholarship. Artan kullanıcı ihtiyaçlarıyla beraber hat kapasitesinin eğitim-öğretim dönemi içerisinde yetersiz gelmeye başlaması sebebiyle ULAKBİM'e hat artırım talebi yapılmış ve olumlu sonuçlanmıştır. Yapılan ortak çalışma ile hat kapasitesi bugün itibarıyla %100 oranında artırılarak toplam 2 Gbps'ye ulaşmıştır.

Yerleşke İnternet çıkışımızın kullanıcılar arasında adil ve "ODTÜ Bilişim Kaynakları Kullanım Politikaları"na uygun olarak kullanılmasının sağlanması için çalışmalar devam etmektedir.
