Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Cumhurbaşkanlığı himayelerinde, Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı uhdesinde yürütülmekte olan “Antarktika Bilimsel Araştırma ve Bilim Üssü Projesi” kapsamında “Ulusal Kutup Bilim Programı” Aralık 2017’de yayınlanarak yürürlüğe girmiştir. Program kapsamında; her yıl, kutup alanında Türk bilim insanları tarafından yürütülen bilimsel proje ve çalışmalar ile bilimsel seferlerin sonuçlarının değerlendirileceği, öncelikli alanlar konusundaki gelişmelerin ele alınacağı “Ulusal Kutup Bilimleri Çalıştayı” düzenlenmektedir.
Bu doğrultuda; “Ulusal Kutup Bilimleri Çalıştayı”nın üçüncüsü, 5-6 Eylül 2019 tarihlerinde, Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi (ODTÜ) ev sahipliğinde gerçekleştirilecektir. Gelişmeler için https://pdo.metu.edu.tr/node/185 adresi takip edilebilir.
Birinci ve İkinci Ulusal Kutup Bilimleri Çalıştayları; 12-13 Nisan 2017 ve 12-13 Eylül 2018 tarihlerinde, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi ev sahipliğinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bahsi geçen çalıştayın özet kitabına http://bit.ly/Kutup-Bilimleri-Calistayi-Ozet-Kitabi web adresinden ulaşılabilmektedir.
"National Polar Science Program" as part of "Antarctic Scientific Research and Science Base Project" conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Technology under the auspices of the Presidency of Republic of Turkey was published and entered into force in December 2017. Under the program, a "National Polar Science Workshop" is organized every year to evaluate the scientific projects and studies carried out by Turkish scientists and the results of scientific expeditions in the polar zone and the developments on the priority areas.
